WHAT'S IN YOUR SOAP?

WHAT'S IN YOUR SOAP?

You may wonder what in in your soap? Exploring ingredients in your bath and body care products is very important and I am so proud to be transparent about ours. In each bar of soap we have five main ingredients: Goat Milk, Lard, Olive oil, Castor oil, and African shea butter, in addition of course to our goat milk! We also use essential oils or phthalate and paraben free fragrances for the delicious scents. Why do we use these ingredients to create our small batch handcrafted soaps?

Goat Milk-

Goat milk soap is naturally creamy, gentle, and nourishing with a rich fluffy lather. Goat milk has a pH to that of a human skin. It does not strip, dry, or rid the skin of things that typically protect it and usually removed by commercial soaps. The goat milk creates a luxurious, creamy foam that blankets your skin with pure bliss. My milk is from my own herd of Nubian dairy goats. Nubians have one of the highest butterfat contents of any goat, providing an even creamier bar of soap! It contains vitamins A,D, E, & K, minerals, healthy lipids, anti-inflammatory properties and fatty acids that provide a nourishing boost to your completion. It is very suitable to those with sensitive or irritated skin. Lactic acid present in goat milk helps to exfoliate dead skin cells, revealing smoother and brighter skin.

Lard-

Lard soap offers benefits like a hard, long-lasting bar, gentle cleansing, and moisturizing properties due to its rich fatty acid, vitamin, and nutrient content, making it suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Lard is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, and Vitamin E, which contributes to its moisturizing and nourishing properties. Lard is similar to the cellular makeup and pH of our skin making it very gentle on the skin and readily absorbed, locking in moisture. It promotes collagen production resulting in improved elasticity. Using local lard promotes a no-waste ethos and supports more ethical consumption.

Castor Oil-

Castor oil is an anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, moisturizing, and hydrating. It is also cleansing and is very helpful in removing dirt.

African Shea Butter-

This butter is a rich emollient that can help to heal cracked skin due to its vitamins A, E, and F content. It also contains several fatty acids, that improve the skins natural barrier. It has some anti-inflammatory compounds, which can help heal skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

Olive Oil-

This oil is rich in fats, antioxidants, and vitamins which have been proven to improve skin moisture, anti-aging effects, and recovery from sun. Improving skin moisture combats dry skin and helps skin fight daily stressors and aging to appear more plump, youthful, and healthy. Olive oil my lower the risk of acne, increases collagen, and cleanses skin.

Have you noticed a common them yet? These three oils/butters combined offer one mega punch for your skin's health!
